Improving My Goal

"Wow, I never thought that would improve so well in my Studyladder Math. I'm very very glad that I've done half of it and doing another half on Wednesday. I think that I'm improving so well in my Studyladder maths. LOVES TO LEARN!

Camp Highlights

I shouted out in the house to my mum and dad that, camp was coming up very quickly. I was feeling very excited because it was our 22nd time at school and going out for Camp. I quickly packed my clothes till Monday. Monday to Wednesday, I thought that it wasn't to quick but it was just right for everyone to have fun and enjoy. The activities that we had to participate in every single day was Kayaking, The Point England Amazing Race, Boxing Fit, Cooking Prep and Old School Games with Mr. Harris. Every single night, after dinner, the whole senior kids would search for a place to practice their item for Tuesday night. On the last day which would be Wednesday we will all go to Swimarama.

One of the standouts for about camp was cooking.The reason why cooking stands out to me is because I really love cooking food for the whole world which is why I want to be a chef. I cook at home and at my sisters Cafeteria at Alexandra Park and at The Netball Centre down on Morrin Road.

My next stand out for me is Old school games. I was wondering what old school games were. I knew that we had to pop other people's balloons in on the grass. First we had to get a balloon each and blow it up, from the size of our head. Tie a string to the balloon to our legs and very very carefully walk it to the grass to pop other people's balloons. The nest game was called the prate game, it was very interesting because we had to run around and act like pirates. I thought that the people in my team really enjoyed it. This game that we also played was this egg game when you have to get a partner and stand behind the rope and start throwing the egg by under throwing it. I love that game so much that I want to play it during school is well.

For 2012, my goal is to work hard not necessarily smart. I love my netbook so much that I want to take it home with me everyday but that depends when I get permission from my parents. I love to play games but that's not my goal, sometimes I have to do school work and on Friday I get to have free time. If I can't finish my work I need something that would help me get my work done on time so that I can go on anything. Well I call it Freee Time.

What I'm looking forward to do for this year is to play more sports hopefully take my netbook with me when I go home. I still can't wait for Camp because it's coming up really soon. I hope everyone will have fun this year because we all had a great start this year.

My favourite thing this year is Netball and my subject is Topic, Writing, Maths and Reading. My most thing when I work is to be focused. I hope I get all my subjects done.

I feel really happy that I'm at this school and it's a lucky school because we all get to have a netbook each. I'm glad that I have friends at this school and a teacher to tech my class a lesson. Love this school.

What I'm looking forward for 2013 is to have a lovely year like this year, 2012. Love having everybody working so hard on their and the teachers doing everything for the school. Hope the seniors get to have Camp all Year so that they could have fun.

A Very Tragec Story

Hello and welcome to my story of two girls fighting over a boy. This sounds really sad because this 10 yr old girl Joanna died. The title of this story is "Fight Over Boy' Leaves US Girl "Dead", it's actually from the news. First the beginning of this true sad story is that, after school two very young girls got into a fight just about a boy. Their school name was called, Southern California Elementary School, this young girl told her mother that she was feeling very ill on the way home.

Joanna the girl that was fighting, died hours later. She was complaining to her mother that she wasn't feeling well so they went home. Joanna's mother changed her clothes and took her to the hospital but it was too late. She was in coma when they took her to the hospital.

Joanna died at a Long Beach hospital at 9 pm Friday, about six hours after the fight in an alley. People have not released the girl's name, the one who was fighting with Joanna. The daughter's mother was crying so bad to know what happened. Police, who have interviewed the other girl involved in the fight, were investigating and said that no arrests were immediately planned.

The story to this song is about a women saying that she remebers years ago that someone told her that she would take caution when it comes to love and she did. Also saying that someone is strong and saying that she’s not. Her heart is broken and all her scars open. She’s telling them what she hoped would be impossible.

My Awesome Time At Alexandra Park

From the very beginning of my holidays, my sister, my brother in law went to Alexandra Park for Breakfast and I realized that she works their. I felt kind of shy and scared because it has been my first time their, talking to my sister's friends made me feel like I get to know them better then my sister. After ordering my breakfast I was looking to see what it looked like inside, to me it looked huge with, big four flax screens together attached to the wall. I was getting use to the inside of Cafeteria, so then I started walking around watching the horses race. My heart was telling me to join in but that was in my dream. I really did have an awesome time with my sister and my brother in law.

T1W2 First Time at Technology

Hello and welcome . For this time I am going to tell you my first time at Technology. As you will know that all the yr 7s went to Tamaki College for technology to learn about how to make stuff and bake stuff. My group for tech was Electronics. I was pretty happy when I heard the name Electronic because I actually wanted to know how to make electric stuff that won't hurt me. So by the time I got to the other side of the school I was pretty much confused because everybody from my school was pretty much all over place around Tamaki College. Finally the teachers settled up the groups, just to make everyone not get confused.


While waiting for a teacher to come and take my group to a lab, I really wanted to join in Food. The reason why I wanted to join in food was because I love eating and I love cooking and baking. When Mr Malhotra came along I was quite happy that he was our tech teacher for 14 weeks. After introducing himself, he took us to the lab which was EP1. The lab looked huge, I really wanted to muck around in the lab.


Finally we got to write something rather then just sitting on the chairs waiting for stuff to be done. But we do have to listen to the instructions so we all know what to do. In the classroom I loved the long big chairs, the touch screen and the two sliding board that can go up and down.


For tech it would be more fun and interesting if we all did something that could make us work as a team because it would just be boring just sitting doing nothing. But I still had fun at tech.

Week 2 Term 1 2012 My Goals

Kia Orana my name is Ramona and I go to Point England School as a yr 7 student. I am writing this because recently I am going to introduce to you about myself and write you about my goals.

First my favourite subject during school is art, and I have got 4 friends in my class room 18 and 2 friends from another classroom. I am 11 yrs old and turning 12 on May the 31st. I still feel like I'm a yr 6 student because how I am still in the same class.

My favourite food is hot chips mostly chocolate and fizzy," Yummy" I also love KFC, Carls Jr, Mc Ds and Burger King. The fewest sports that I really want to join is Netball, Vollyball, Touch and the jobs that I would really like to participate in is Barista, Sports monitor, Office monitor and also a Assembly committee.

My goals for this 2012 is to work hard not necessarily smart and move away from the person that is talking to me. Also I need to ignore what they are saying to me move on with my own work. Listening to what the teacher is telling me what to do makes me know what I have to do during every rotation.

Ramona Room 18 NetBook Reflections

This year I have really Enjoyed having a Netbook to work on because it works really fast I am are on other things that I need to complete. It can make alot of difference by correcting the errors and searching for the word that I don’t know what it means, also it’s easier to write in as Document that is owned by yourself. Often when I go to my Google Doc, I get a page that says Offline Mode and sometimes it says The Connection Has Timed Out!

Another thing is that when I write I improve alot because I practise at home by writing one or two paragraph in my homework book.There are many reasons why I love my laptop so much, it’s because it’s quicker when I try to do something new. Also it’s easier to use rather then just using a pencil and a paper because it takes a long time to sharpen a pencil and rubbing out the mistakes and just making alot of mess.

As much as I have loved having a computer there are some things that I haven’t liked about my netbook. The issue about my netbook is that when I switch it on, I sometimes see it on TLN Manaiakalani and it takes a long time to load onto Wairehe. Sometimes it’s slow when I try to go onto other sites like searching for stuff that I really need to use for my school work.

The hardest thing for me is when I’m not being focused on my work, its because their a mostly a bunch of people around me who talks alot and doesn’t do their work well. That is when I get stressed. The greatest challenge for me is when the class is really quite and when their doing their work all by themselves. That’s what keeps me on task.

I think that if the netbook Pilot Scheme was failed and if I was back to pen and paper I would feel disappointed because I love using it alot even though I am out doing something else I still love playing on it. The reason why I would feel disappointed is recently I don’t get the idea about computers and the Network it confuses me.

Introduction
I so can’t wait for school holidays because my dad’s family is coming over for a visit, even though the date has passed it was on the 1st week of school holidays. I felt pretty excited because the feed was at my grandmas house, I think it’s going to be a really big feast. After my dads family visit my family and I are going to the beach for a picnic, what an amazing holiday that I’m having. Holidays is on for 2 weeks, how cool is that.

My favourite thing during the holidays is meeting my dads special family because recently I haven’t seen my cousins for a few yrs. They haven’t notice me since for a few yrs but they are still my cousins, this was my 1st favourite thing in the holidays. “What was my 2nd favourite thing in the holidays? Well, as you know that some of you students have been to the beach for a picnic, that is just what I did but different days and different times. Going to the beach was making my heart pump, it meant to me that I was so nervous to go to the beach. As we got their, it was packed of allot kids and adults playing and having allot of fun. I wished that could make new friends just to make me happy and enjoyable because I haven’t seen any friends from my school but my cousin Ashin. My very funny cousin was playing basketball with his mates, feeling playful.


Writing 3
The feeling about my holiday is kind of a bit fun because their were just about two things that I did in the holidays. It is worth, a bit. Sometimes I feel sad, sometimes I feel mad because staying at home is a feeling to me that is so boring. Some day I will feel happy and some day I would feel so excited when I do something fun and go somewhere that I haven’t been to and that looks so interesting to see.


Conclusion

My goal for term 4 is to focused on what I’m doing even though if someone talks to me I really have to ignore them. When the teacher tells me what to do I have to do, the reason why I have to learn more is to make my family proud, proud of me and proud of what I have for my learning. Sometimes I just can’t be focused when people are talking around me, I just feel like I’m not focused. Sometimes I’m learning on my work but sometimes I’m not, not working is not my type but working is. This whole thing is about my learning for Term 4.

My Typing Lessons

For this term I have learn how to type with out looking my keyboards and hey guess what, I have learnt all my lessons that I have try to do. These typing lessons help me be a good typer in my class. This was my final lesson level 9. I have worked so hard to try and look at the screen and typing, it is a bit hard when you are typing and looking at the screen. But did you know that when you get up to another higher level it will turn out by being a bit harder.

My Netball Holiday

In my holidays, every Monday, Saturday and Sunday I would be allowed to go to my best sisters Netball training and Netball Games. My sisters name is Ngatamaine but for short it’;s Maine and just turned 20 this year. She plays netball alot and is a very very good umpire, she loves netball and ever in her life. Guess what, she works at the netball court and she gives me free gifts after my netball game. My sister loves to play the sport of netball, even though she plays hoop at our backyard. The position she loves to be is GS/GD... She is the most talented sister in my family to play Netball.

My Netball Holiday

Netball Tournement

Wednsday morning which was the Netball tournement, my team and I was trying to get ready for the first game for netball. We were really nervous because how it was the first game, when we were ready to go onto the court. We had to wait for some transport to come and take us.But we did get to practise on our court that was next to the staff room. Practising was really tiring because we had to run around the court 2 times, but the best thing that we got to play was half court. It was really confusing for the boys because they didn’t understand the instructions, but it was really exciting for them to play netball, because it was their first game. As we were playing half court I got really sick and tired of stopping the game speacilly for the boys, because they weren’t listening to the instrutions properly while Miss Vafusuanga was talking to us. I was thinking that they were not paying attention or maybe I think it was probably they were talking to each other and MissVafusuanga didn’t notice.During that time, walking towards us was the under 50kgs, I was confused why they were here. I thought that if they wanted to have a game against us but they kind of felt weird.I was heard that they didn’t have enough transport because their were only three transports, the three transport and they were Miccey, Miss Vaafusuanga and Mr Jacobson the short one.After that we were getting ready to to the ANZ Netball Court.My team which was the over 50kgs felt really nervous because how it was their first time, as we were just about go the coaches had to decide who was going to which.They just chose like 4 or more, and as we were waiting for Mr Jacobson to come we waited and waited for him inside the breeze to come. When he came he we were all excited because he b rought a van with two seats in the front like their was are chair in the middle and two chairs on the side and 8 seats at the back.In Miss Vaafusuanga’s car she had to take 4 people with and and 4 people with Miccey. As we were going to the Netball court we were jumping singing and laughing because someone was making fun of themselves and we were singing while we were half over their.Just about their we saw heaps of schools that looked pretty tough.But I said to myself in my head that “We a going to win I know that because CHAMPIONS NEVER GIVE UP”.While we were walking to the Netball court we all felt really nervous because nearly the whole school was looking at us like they’ve never seen us before.While we were practising our game the under 50kg looked really scared and they looked really shoct.When the bell went “Dong” the lady who was from Tamaki Primary School called out all the schools to meet her next to the Cafeteria.Everyone was running and screaming while they were walking to the cafeteria,but when we went we had to go as a team. So we all went as a team and every body plus the teachers was looking at us. When we all sat down and the lady started explaining what is going to happen.

All About Me

Hi my name Ramona and I am 11 yrs old.I go to Point England School, my teachers name is Mr Barks.He is a very cool teacher and he is tall, but also he is from a country called Canada.His accent is very diffirent to our accent.I have got 8 friends and their names are Jasmine, Mary.l, Osana, Tui, Hosannah, Tyla and also Huelo-ata.They are my best friend that I have ever met, they a kind to other people and they a always friendly.My culture name is Cook Island and I am from a Island kind of matches my Island is Rarotonga. Rarotonga was a very amazing place where my sister was born, my oldest sister.Her name is Ngatamaine, she is the coach for the Netball team, she sometimes reaf for my netball game.Did you know that she works at the ANZ Netball that is where I play.When ever I see her work she gives me nuggets, a hot dog, hot chips with tomatoe sauce on top.They taste really delicious, if I eat where my sister works I say “Yummy” when she gives me food. I feel excited when my netball game is finished because I can hang around the netball court that is beside the Cafeteria.

My 2010 Reflection

My best thing in class, is learning how to read and write and being at school is good to learn.My favourite thing this year at school is going Camping,because my favourite thing was Camp I really like making stuffs,cooking food,sleeping in the tent,Kayaking and wacthing movies with the whole senior school kids.The thing I enjoy mostly at school is playing Baseball with our coach Cola because when I saw a man I realised that he had a bag full of glove,a bat and a ball.My goal is to practise my Mathes learn and read what I am looking at.

Swimming

The thing that I have enjoyed most, was doing swimming in the pool and doing some lessons.What I have learnt from Chris was doing back strokes, and the dolphin swim. We didn’t know that we were going to be able to have the pool for the rest of whole term 4.Our school loved the pool.It was covered with the white marquee to keep it safe.If only we had our own pool every year.

My goals were to focus on what I was doing ,trying to breathe in and out and swimming straight in a line.Whenever I go swimming with Chris,I still need to learn how to do back strokes because when I swim backwards I swim crooked instead of going straight only I had a pool ,I could swim for the rest of the year with my whole family.”Wow thanks Water safe Auckland for the awesome pool,I have really enjoyed playing in the pool it was really amazing.”

Ramona Butterfly

Last week on Wednesday we were doing art. Our first step was that we had to get a piece of paper and a book to look for some interesting critters.Then when we had found our own critter we had to draw it and after we had to colour it in with a crayon.Next I went to draw my butterfly with a crayon and when i went to go and die I was really excited because their were different colours that I wanted to use but I only had to use one colour.My favorite colour was yellow,but then Miss King my favourite teacher had told me to use green or blue,I went outside to die it green.The butterfly that I wanted from the book where their is heaps of interesting information."Wow what are day we had on Wednesday afternoon.But I did have fun doing art.
